The Giro Della Montagna (“Tour of The Hill” in Italiano) is our ride for those with a passion for St. Louis City. Explore unique, bike-friendly routes through city neighborhoods, starting on The Hill. The Giro is the perfect complement to our rural rides but with more big-city charm.
After the ride, stick around on The Hill to watch some exciting bike racing during The Gateway Cup brought to you by Big Shark Bicycle Company.
Ride Start Time: 8:00 am Group StartCheck-In Begins: 6:30 amStart Location: Eastern corner of Botanical and Marconi, 2400 Block of Marconi AvenueRoutes Lengths (in miles): 4, 18, 31, 51Terrain: Flat with some hills | Mixed Pavement
Riders will be allowed to start anytime after 6:30am check-in but must leave before 8:00am. The purpose of the 8:00am cutoff time is to help us manage SAG and Rest Stop support by knowing how many riders are out on the course. If we allow riders to start later than 8:00am, we have to keep rest stops open much later in the day which puts a strain on our amazing volunteers who have given their time to keep you hydrated and fed. They appreciate hour cooperation and so do we.
A HUGE thank you to our sponsors:
- Route sponsor Pier Property Group- Schlafly Beer is the 2022 beer and hard seltzer sponsor of the Trailnet Classics- Complimentary post-ride massages provided by Logan University- Rest Stop nutrition provided by GU Energy
All riders will have access to turn-by-turn directions via Ride with GPS. You’ll receive a link to the Ride with GPS Event in your confirmation email. Only paid Ride with GPS will have narrated direction cues. Trailnet Members are eligible for a 20% lifetime discount on paid Ride with GPS accounts.
GPX files can be downloaded from the Ride with GPS pages for use with your bike computer
Printable PDF files for each route will be emailed out prior to the ride.
Arrows will be painted on the ground at each turn.
* Please do not rely on one single form of navigation *
Rest stops are placed in roughly 15-mile increments on each route. Each rest stop will have snacks, water, Gatorade and restrooms.

We are following local and federal guidelines for COVID-19 and have measures in place to allow people to ride safely. We appreciate your cooperation.
